Show Update #3: We Filmed a Show!

WOW.

setting up beach shot

Last week feels a bit surreal.

You think and dream and hope and then… it happens. :)

It’d be easy to just charge ahead with the next item on the to-do list, so I’m gonna pause and reflect on this one:

I FILMED A TRAVEL SHOW!

Pretty nuts.

Granted, it’s the pilot, and it’s the beginning, but still: this is so cool!

There were absolutely moments during the week where I thought, “I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else right now. I can’t believe I get to do this. This is amazing!!!”

So yeah—we’re makin’ a show!! :)

Here’s a bit of how production week went…

Day 1

Here’s a quick video update from behind-the-scenes on Day 1 of filming at LifeFood Organic!

Day 2

We headed to a few different spots around Los Angeles to capture footage for opening credits, transitions, and an extended intro for the show.

One of the shots we set up was me sitting on the beach looking out at the ocean—here’s my view when I turned around: what an awesome crew!

And just as the photo says, this is PROOF that we were at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre shooting exteriors! ;)

Day 3

We spent the first few hours at SunCafe in Studio City, making recipes and talking with Chef Ron, and then headed around LA to capture more exterior shots.

That’s right: Chef Ron is an official member of Nonstop Awesomeness!! :)

Then it was up to Universal Citywalk, then to downtown to get the urban feel (in contrast to the beach), and even shot some footage at Union Station.

Pretty awesome that we were never “kicked out” of anywhere!

And that’s it! Now we’re off to the next stages: editing and crowdfunding (aka raising money to complete this project)!

Very excited about conversations we’re having in that direction, and a few other cool projects going on! :)

As always, thanks so much for your support and excited to have you along for the ride!!

Looking forward to learning more!
Nathan
