Moments of the Week – #16

A bunch of awesome moments from this week!

(have some of your own? to be featured in a future edition of MOW! :)

A fun week in Los Angeles: parties, pools, and lots of cooking—here we go!

en*theos Party at Pearson’s! Well, kinda… here’s Casey, John, Dave (finally getting a chance to eat!) and I the day after Dave’s wedding! So cool to hang out with all these amazing people I work with virtually! And there’s Aaron in the back with his taco cart!

Dave + Beth’s backyard at night — a few remaining guests linger by the bar and fire…

And others play bags (aka Cornhole) in the driveway, with lighting provided by Dave’s man cave (bikes, climbing/camping/work-out gear + darts)!

Rooftop view of Hollywood and the Hills from my brother’s apartment building. I spent many mid-days up here, grabbing a quick 15 minutes of Vitamin D! :)

Here’s the view looking south, toward West Hollywood, Mid-Wilshire, and beyond…

View north from the roof of Runyon Canyon. The first plateau (the bare spot on the left of the pic) is where I’d sprint up to,and then the trail keeps going (steep climb with stairs, up the right side of the photo).

One of my first afternoons at my housesitting gig. I swear I was having a good time. ;)

Getting ready to shoot the video for the $100 Startup Giveaway, and doing a quick lighting/framing check! :)

Great salad and wedding flowers—always a winning combination! ;)

Met this girl on the street, chatted her up, and we decided to grab a smoothie. Very fun time, and it turns out she’s a nomad (or gypsy, as she terms it), too! She’s off to San Francisco and then Australia—maybe I’ll see her down under! (And in case you’re wondering, she’s attempting to block the sun from completely blinding me. :)

Stumbled onto this random Koi pond just south of Wilshire on my walk. Pretty cool to see these huge fish swimming with cars zooming by.

The full pond and walkway near Wilshire Blvd and Hauser Ave.

My attempt to capture more photos of me cooking! Here’s how it works when I’m the only one around—not bad! :)

This shot was even more labor-intensive: multiple boxes and a book! I think it turned out well (and I only had to take a dozen shots—ha!).

Changed it up and grabbed some GREEN cauliflower at the store to grate up for rice!!

The mix of veggies for the dinner I’m making: mushrooms, green and red bell peppers, onion, garlic, zucchini, and celery!

The cooked creation and the finished product (with the green cauliflower rice, scallions, and avocado)!

Jumped at the chance to attend a Raw Cooking Class at SunCafe—it was all Mexican-themed dishes (I’ll be doing a full post!). Here’s the owner/head chef, Ron, talking about his daily green smoothie: kale, spinach, spirulina, and bananas!

Here’s a quick glimpse at the raw food Ron made during the class: enchiladas!! :)

Ron in action with the zucchini—for the avocado cilantro soup! Mmmmmmm…… ;)
